WHAT

What may be covered at Holiday Drama? – A ’play in a day’ is the focus of the day. These plays are either, written by the students themselves, the teachers or selected from hundreds of pre prepared scripts. They have the option to improvise their play if they wish. They can choose from hundreds of props and costumes to create an amazing performance (any character they wish). They can also design their own sound and lighting from our professional sound and lighting booth, if they wish.

Everyday our participants are asked what they would like to do (regarding plays, drama games, public speaking, etc.) and we tailor our program to meet their individual wishes. The typical Holiday Drama day includes, drama/acting, speech, improvisation, fun drama games/impro theatre sports, watching a family friendly movie at lunch time on a quality projector screen (those that do not wish to watch the movie are offered pre prepared mindful activities or they can bring something from home), rehearsal time videoed for their self-reflection and a ‘play in a day’. We sprinkle the magic of drama across each day of Holiday Drama Stars and each day is fabulous, fun and fresh.
